Dad Thoughts: Two kids in and I have questions
As I mentioned last week, my wife and I were recently blessed with our second child (a girl!). Our first is a 4-year old boy (4.5 if you ask him), and now that we are almost 1-month in, I have some questions to ask those of you that already have multiple children:
How to balance my time between work, toddler and baby? Overload exhaustion is real.
There are too many rules in being gender conforming and “going against the norm” - what’s the right blend?!
It’s cute my son wants to play with his sister right as he gets home from school. Will I severely impact him if I yell “USE THE SANITIZER! YOUR HANDS ARE INFESTED WITH BACTERIA THAT CAN HURT HER!”
What age am I legally allowed to request them to find their own housing?
How can I be better at remembering my son is still a baby and that he’s been involuntarily promoted to “Big Brother”?
Can I slow down time so they don’t grow up too fast?
Oh and last but not least - how do I figure out which one of these kids I love more?
